It is continued to be conducted in hybrid mode, providing participants the flexibility to join the conference either on-site or virtually.

Professor Abd Rahim Abu Talib is a distinguished scholar and leader in Aerospace Engineering, widely recognized for his contributions to research, education, and industry. He earned his PhD in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford (2003), and a B.Eng (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Salford (1998). Currently serving as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Professor Abd Rahim previously held several key positions, including Director of Quality Assurance, Head of Department of Aerospace Engineering, and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Engineering. He also served as Deputy Chair of the Council of Quality Assurance for Public Universities (MPQ-UA). With extensive industrial experience, he was seconded to the Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre (AMIC), MiGHT Meteor Advanced Manufacturing (MMAM), and the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT). Professor Abd Rahim is President of the Southeast Asia Network on Aerospace Engineering (SANAE), Deputy President and Fellow of MySET, and a Top Research Scientist Malaysia from the Academy Science Malaysia, 2024. A registered Professional Engineer and ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer, he has authored over 130 journal papers and, in 2025, is listed among the world’s top 2% scientists by Elsevier and Stanford University.
Prof. Sulaiman Wadi Harun earned his B.E. in Electrical and Electronics System Engineering from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan, in 1996, followed by his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Photonics Technology from the University of Malaya in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He has nearly two decades of research experience in optical fiber technologies, with significant contributions to fiber amplifiers, lasers, and sensing systems. His work also extends to the integration of advanced nanomaterials—including graphene, carbon nanotubes, black phosphorus, topological insulators, and zinc oxide nanostructures—for photonic device applications. He has published more than 1000 papers in ISI-indexed journals, receiving over 9,000 citations and achieving an h-index exceeding 55. Prof. Harun has supervised more than 90 Ph.D. graduates. He currently serves as an Academic Editor of the International Journal of Optics, holds adjunct professorships at Airlangga University and Brawijaya University in Indonesia, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. Among his honors are the Malaysian Rising Star Award (2016) and the Optoelectronics Letters Best Paper Award (2023). He is also the founder and honorary advisor of the Optical Society of Malaysia.
