ABOUT

The Centre for Knowledge and Innovation Management (CEKIM), Faculty of Management, Multimedia University is set to hold its third conference titled `International Conference on Technology and Innovation Management 2023 (ICTIM 2023)’ which carries the theme `Humanizing Innovation for a Sustainable and Resilient Future’. This conference will bring together academic researchers, industry players, policymakers and civil society leaders to engage and share the latest trends and development in technology and innovation management.

PUBLICATION

    All accepted papers will be published in indexed journals (subject to meeting individual journals requirement) or proceedings. Following are participating journals:

Mr. Safuan Zairi

Chief Ecosystem Development Officer, MRANTI

Driven by passion, creativity and innovation, Safuan is notable in the digital and technology innovation ecosystem. Safuan has held key management roles in various organisations, local as well as MNC. He is also a drone evangelist at heart, successfully elevating Malaysia's DroneTech industry and ecosystem players. With more than 23 years of relevant industry experience, Safuan advocates for Malaysia's tech-startup community via MOSTI's National Technology and Innovation Sandbox (NTIS) programme and MaGIC's proven Global Accelerator Programme (GAP) and Impact Innovation programmes. Safuan is currently MRANTI's Chief Ecosystem Development Officer and supports MRANTI’s developmental and sustainability mandates of fast-tracking commercialisation and maximising Return on Ideas for technology and innovative solutions via the Ecosystem Development's offerings of strategic partnerships, demand-led programmes and forward-thinking initiatives. Safuan holds a Bachelor of Law and an MBA.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Hairul Azhar Abdul Rashid

Vice President, Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoints (MEET), Multimedia University

Hairul is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, focusing on specialty optical fibre devices and sensors. He is currently the Vice President, Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoints (MEET) where he leads a team that strategically plans, implements and monitors all activities pertaining to touchpoint management and external engagement. Prior to this position, Hairul was the Vice President for Research, Industry Collaboration and Engagement (RICE), overseeing all activities pertaining research, innovation, commercialization and industrial collaboration in MMU. Hairul obtained his PhD in Optical Communication Systems from MMU in 2007. He has since, led research projects focusing on designing and fabrication of specialty optical fiber for communications and sensors. His team has secured grants close to RM12.9 million from PETRONAS, MOSTI, MOHE and TM. Hairul has published 164 peer- reviewed journals and 57 conference papers. He has filed 2 patents and was granted 6 Industrial Designs (ID). In 2014, he was awarded ‘Top Research S cientists Malaysia’ by Academy of Sciences, Malaysia. He also has two spin-off two companies, Lumisyns Sdn Bhd and Optodyne Sdn. Bhd. These companies focus on commercializing radiation dosimetry systems and specialty optical fibres respectively.

Mr. Mohamad Hazizol Mohd Nayan

Mohamad Hazizol is a graduate in mechanical engineering from Ungku Omar Polytechnic. He has 10 years of experience in technical engineering, specializing in mechatronic engineering. He also has 5 years of expertise in supply chain management. In 2020, he ventured into modern farming practices in response to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr Zachary Aman

Entrepreneur, Strategist, Thinker, Creator, Grower, Investor, and Educator
Founder and CEO, JustGood Group and Idea Company

An entrepreneur who advocates optimizing technology and innovation to solve agriculture challenges, Zachary believes that the future of growth strategies is depended on integration and best practices with emphasis on traceability across the food value chain. Zachary’s knowledge in agri-tech brings an immense wealth of experience with unprecedented support to his team. Starting with Malaysia as the incubation hub, Zachary plans to expand and broaden JustGood Group’s footprint regionally in the next five years, with the aim to lead the group into flagship positions in their respective markets. JustGood Group is a subsidiary of Idea Company. Founded on the mission to create powerful transformative brands through strategic consultancy and management, Idea Company is the brainchild of Zachary. Known for his bold, and innovative leadership skills, some of his notable work includes the F2 World Cup Power Boat Race. With a strong background in Malaysian agricultural, Zachary was instrumental in setting up and operating thousands of hectares of oil palm estates as well as oil palm milling companies. He remains as a director at Regional Harvest Sdn Bhd through his advisory role and continuously consults as an independent advisor for various agri-tech and oil palm companies to help achieve exponential growth. Zachary is a graduate from Deakin University, Australia with a Double Bachelor Degree with Honours in Information Systems and Commerce.
