ABOUT

The Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), Multimedia University will hold the 3rd International Conference on Creative Multimedia 2023 (ICCM2023) on 26-28 July 2023 (Virtual Conference). ICCM2023 invites prospective authors to take part by submitting research papers in pursuing the vibrant discourse of creative multimedia. ICCM2023 aims to bring together related research scholars, educators, practitioners, policymakers, enthusiasts, fellow students, and design entrepreneurs from various perspectives, disciplines, and fields to share and exchange their research experiences and results on all aspects of arts, design, and creative media technologies. ICCM2023 embraces possibilities, provides an interdisciplinary forum for all stakeholders to present and discuss current trends, innovations, and concerns, as well as practical issues and solutions in the field of creative multimedia. We welcome high-quality research contributions dealing with original and unpublished results on fundamental, conceptual, empirical and experimental work in all areas of arts, design and creative media technologies.

PUBLICATION

    All accepted papers will be published in indexed journals (subject to meeting individual journals requirement) or proceedings (by Atlantis Press Proceedings, indexing status: https://www.atlantis-press.com/proceedings).


    All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 page(s) manuscript is to be prepared according to the following template.

Mr. Asri Ahmad

Director of Rifaie Chua & Sethi Sdn Bhd

An Industrial Designer by qualification, Asri Ahmad started his career in 1982 in one of the first design consultancies in Malaysia Johan Design Associates, before being offered to be the Creative Director of Art & Magic, a design subsidiary of Bates Advertising in early 1991. His experience spanning more than 30 years of design practice, extends across the core disciplines of Branding and design namely, naming & identity, brand communication, packaging, interface design, environment & exhibition, event consultancy, creative content and activation. Among the many Brands he has helped to develop are Malaysia Airlines Brand Identity program, Petronas Brand Identity program and selected Identity programs for Putrajaya Holdings, Telekom Malaysia, Celcom, ASTRO, DIGI, TDC, Petronas, HSBC, EON, KL Sentral, Dutch Lady, 100 Plus, Levi’s, Nokia, Sheraton Hotels, KFC, Pizza Hut, Mamee Double Decker, Lam Soon, Giant Hypermarkets and Maju Holdings, Sapura and KSN. Asri is also the founding member of wREGA (Graphic Design Association of Malaysia) former founding director of Fif Designs, Ridaa Associates and Muliaevents and currently the creative consultant and director of Rifaie Chua & Sethi Sdn Bhd, a strategic brand consultancy.

Associate Professor Lukas Parker

Associate Professor
RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia

Associate Professor Lukas Parker is a leading social marketing and advertising scholar whose research sits at the nexus of behaviour change, communicating health and digital advertising. Leading teams of researchers, his research addresses pressing social problems related to health and sustainability. He has over fifty peer-reviewed publications including influential co-authored books Social Marketing and Advertising in the Age of Social Media (2020) and Social Marketing and Behaviour Change: Models, theory and applications (2014) which guide social marketing practitioners and scholars. Associate Professor Parker’s highly applied research has informed and assessed social and behaviour change communication campaigns and government policy. His recent government and industry partners include VicHealth, Football Victoria, Sustainability Victoria, Woolworths and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). Associate Professor Parker is a highly accomplished educator with extensive international experience over two decades, in Australia, South Korea and Vietnam. He currently teaches into the Master of Advertising and Bachelor of Communication (Advertising) degree programs. His teaching intersects with his research and is focused on social change and engaging with industry, government and community.

Mr. Abdul Raouf Baydoun

Conservationist/ Founder of Baydoun Creation/ Artist

Mr. Abdul Raoul Baydoun Abdulqader was born in 1956 in the city of Id lib Kafr Takharim (Syria). In the 1970s, his love for art drew him to Damascus, Syria to hone his artistic talents in the Arabic Cultural Center which specializes in the intricate and Syrian traditional ‘ajami art. He spent 6 years in the Arab Cultural Center mentored by professional Syrian artists projects at the Arab Cultural Center, such as setting up the ‘ajami workshop in the Military Housing Establishment, and decoration of the Damascus International Airport lounges and VIP hall. Subsequently, he started his own practice and decorated hundreds of villas and palaces with Damascene artwork. In 1964, he moved to Lebanon and worked with the Directorate General of Antiquities and UNESCO, where he worked on several museums, as well as restoration and re-construction of several mosques; some of the most prominent are: Umari Mosque (Beirut, Lebanon), Umayyad Mosque (Belbek, Lebanon), Sharhabeel Mosque (Sayda, Lebanon), Al-Mansouri Mosque (Tripoli, Lebanon), AI-Tooshiya School (Tripoli, Lebanon). He executed restoration work for the Azm Palace in Homa, Syria, and then Ghazlah Museum in Aleppo, Syria.
