ABOUT

The Centre for Knowledge and Innovation Management (CEKIM), Faculty of Management, Multimedia University is set to hold its second conference titled `International Conference on Technology and Innovation Management 2022 (ICTIM 2022)’ which carries the theme `Humanizing Innovation for Sustainability’. This conference will bring together academic researchers, industry players, policymakers and civil society leaders to engage and share the latest trends and development in technology and innovation management.

PROCEEDINGS

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Dr. Rahmat Iskandar Khairul Shazi

Technology Director, ShazInnovation

Dr. Shazi is currently the Technology Director of ShazInnovation Solution as well as member of the Board of Trustees that oversaw the innovation management of the Coronavirus Mobile Test (COMBAT) unit during the initial phases of the Covid-19 pandemic. He was the Principal Consultant of Technology, Training and Research at Strand Aerospace, overseeing Graduate Employability High Value Add Training programs for Selangor. Through his PhD on Innovation Management, he is an expert on Social Capital and Commercialization of Innovations, having had 20 years of prior experience in PETRONAS as well as consulting work in Australia. Currently he is an Industry Advisory Panel of 9 universities, and an active member of the National STEM Association. He is a member of the Australia-Malaysia Business Council,and while in Australia working as a part-time consultant, the Chairman of the Malaysia Scientific Diaspora from 2013-2014. He is also supporting several innovation initiatives for the newly-formed Selangor Innovation Enculturation Committee. Dr. Shazi received his Phd in Business from the University of Queensland, Brisbane.

Professor Dr. Ainurul Rosli

Dr. Ainurul Rosli is a Professor in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and Director of Business Engagement at Brunel Business School, London. Her current research interests include university-industry collaboration, engaged scholarship, social impact, community entrepreneurship, and team entrepreneurship.

Professor Dr. Avvari V. Mohan

School of Business, Monash University Malaysia

Dr. Avvari V. Mohan is a Professor and Deputy Head (Engagement & Impact) at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia. He received his doctorate in Management of Innovation from the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore following which he visited South Korea on a Research Fellowship at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Prior to joining Monash University, he served as a member of the faculty at Nottingham University Business School (Malaysia campus) and also at the Faculty of Management, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
His teaching and research interests are in broadly in strategy and Innovation with special interests in sustainability related / responsible business strategies. He focusses on innovations systems (inter-organisational linkages) that help organisations to develop innovations and contribute to sustainable development. He has published his work in international journals and in reports for international agencies. He is the associate editor in chief for the Asian Journal of Technology Innovation and is also on the editorial panels of other international journals in the area of Innovation and policy. He has also been a resource person in training programmes business organisations and also for organisations like UN-ESCAP, UNESCO-WTA etc. He has served as a Council Member of the Consumer Forum (CFM) under MCMC Malaysia, as an Innovation Auditor of SMEs in Malaysia, as a recourse person in WTA-UNESCO workshops and more recently as a UNESCO Expert for entrepreneurship and innovation.

John Wong

John Wong is a career banker and have worked 30 years in various financial institutions in the areas of Wholesale Banking, Consumer Banking, Banking Operations, and Information Technology. He started his career in a large Malaysian local bank before joining a foreign bank and subsequently a regional bank where he was posted to Hong Kong for an international assignment. He held various positions as Managing Director, Head of International Banking based in Hong Kong. He was MD, Group Head Transaction Banking, Maybank, Director, Global Corporates in Standard Chartered Bank and Head of Personal Banking for Malaysia. His last position is the CEO Asia for Fidelity Asia Bank focusing on Wholesale Banking and Private Banking.
John has made contributions in the banking industry in various Asian and International banks including representation in Bankers Association of Finance & Trade (BAFT) as Co-Chair Asia Council and Board Member, Vice Chairman of ICC Malaysia, and Chairman of the Banking Committee ICC; Chairman of the Permanent Committee ASEAN Inter-regional relations for ASEAN Bankers Association (ABA) and Founding Board member of Hong Kong ASEAN Economic Cooperation Foundation (HKAECF).
John holds a professional certificate in Banking and Finance from the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Cross University, Australia. He currently pursues the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) with the International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW). His thesis is focused on the maturity of the sustainability framework for the Malaysian banking industry.
